"I'm
glad we had the opportunity to work with you again earlier this
spring. It is truly a pleasure. Your enthusiasm and passion for
your work are infectious. it's hard (impossible) for even the sagest
old-timer to not get something positive out of your workshops."
-
Brad Retelback, Operations Training Coordinator, Alberta EnviroFuels
"What I can say
about Kevin is that he is creative, energetic, enthusiastic, skilled,
and highly motivated. He is an engaging presenter and has
a strong background in the use of interactive media and learning
tools. He has the ability to translate complex concepts into
everyday terms and brings a lot of heart to his work. Kevin
is bright and has a ton of information and resourcefulness at his
fingertips. He has a marvelous sense of humor and a playful
spirit. I know he understands organizations and how to teach
and provide excellence in service. I highly recommend him."
- Leslie Brunker,
Organizational Effectiveness Consultant, Kaiser Permanente
"Kevin Eikenberry
is clearly a catalyst to higher levels of achievement. When we launched
a fresh company-wide cultural initiative, Kevin provided the spark
to initiate momentum. He was able to deliver the message in a way
that was energetic, interactive and most importantly, real-world
applicable. I would recommend Kevin to any organization that is
looking to accomplish great things.
Only one flaw, he's a
Boilermaker. :)"
- Dave Fechter,
Executive Vice President, The Shamrock Companies
"Goodness, how time
flies! I’m writing a few weeks after the NIH All SRA Retreat
with the advantage of perspective gained in discussions with several
principals in the production of the training event and several sagacious
individuals outside our planning committee. The word on your participation
is one of appreciation for the hard work you put in, the careful
incorporation of information and insights you gathered during the
event and the clear, well paced delivery of your exposition on the
elements of change and change management.
Personally, I enjoyed
working with you in the weeks preceding the retreat, and appreciated
your interest in gaining a full understanding of our world-that
of administering the process of peer review of research grant applications…we
and our leaders can benefit from the lesson you presented for how
to facilitate adoption of new ways of doing business through more
efficient communication of the goals and paths to the changes. Many
of us found your message energizing and inspiring, and wished that
more members of the NIH community had been there to hear it.
In a slow moving bureaucracy
like ours, the results of your instruction will not be clear for
a while, but I think that many more of us now know better how to
facilitate the implementation of evermore efficient administrative
policies and procedures."
- S. Charles Selden,
Ph.D.,NIH Extramural Staff Training Officer
"Since ending our
leadership conference with Kevin as the speaker we have received
so many wonderful comments about Kevin, and the context of his message.
Kevin was the perfect individual to end our day long leadership
training because he synthesized the entire day in to one or two
action items for the attendees. Kevin does a great job of condensing
information down into manageable components so everyone feels like
they can accomplish something.
His warm and personable
delivery makes him appealing to a wide variety of audiences and
his message is to the point with identified action items for the
attendees. Kevin is a seasoned orator and develops a level of comfort
and trust with his audience that is rarely duplicated.
Kevin Eikenberry is a
gentleman that delivers the message in a timely, energetic and positive
manner. He leaves individuals with wisdom that can be taken home
and used in both their professional and personal lives.
If you want someone to
energize and educate your audience about setting goals and achieving
them, then Kevin Eikenberry is your man."
- Todd Coleman,
Executive Director, Purdue Alumni Association
"Thank you for a
wonderful Board Planning Meeting. You received high marks
from our not-for-profit cooperative board of directors for actively
engaging them in the strategic planning process. Your diverse
methods of input allowed each member of our board to approach their
task comfortably, using their unique talents to clarify their thoughts,
and then see their input used as we modified our mission, and developed
our vision.
Additionally, we were
able to agree on our core strategy with action steps, all in the
same day. Rarely has any group been able to go so far and
succinctly agree on the outcome. Your leadership skills to
take our diverse board through this process are remarkable."
- Rod Kelsay, Executive
Director, Mid America Cooperative Council
"Ours is a self managed
work environment that requires employees to exhibit new behaviors,
build strong working relationships, and be responsible for results.
Despite best efforts, there are often gaps between expectations
and deliverables for employee performance.
Kevin Eikenberry has
helped us close those gaps ... that deliver tangible skills, and
help people to build the agreements that are needed to work successfully
in this environment. Kevin delivers high energy, and high impact
working sessions.
Alberta Envirofuels is
proud to be on the leading edge in organizational design, and Kevin
Eikenberry has been a part of that success."
- Glenn Hughes,
Operations Manager, Alberta Envirofuels Inc.
"Kevin Eikenberry
continues to be a trusted and valued resource for employee development
solutions. He understands the true needs of our business and has
the ability to deliver solutions to us in a way that continually
meets our needs."
- Amy Leschke-Kahle,
Division Manager, Employee Development, John Deere
"One of my mentors
once said, "Change is inevitable, growth is optional." When we looked
back on our company's short 4-year history, we realized change was
coming at us at warp speed, but the growth part was slow in coming.
That is, until Kevin stepped into our lobby.
You presented a seminar
on "Team Building Fundamentals" to our employees, about 20 people,
on December 30, 2004. What you may not realize is the depth of impact
your presentation had on this company. The second exercise, which
allowed team members to "vote" on what is good about our team, as
well as areas for improvement, was eye-opening. We were high in
"Respect," "Talent," and "Flexibility." Areas needing attention
were: "Communications," "Organization," and "Sharing Responsibility."
Our company President
took this feedback seriously and is putting new, positive measures
in place to address our team weaknesses. We are beginning to experience
new information-sharing meetings, increased priority in training
efforts, and department-head accountability. In addition, the first
exercise created a way to have our people work together who office
in different locations. It was awesome!
We all get electronic
newsletters, but yours is by far the most thought-provoking. Your
willingness to share information as you do speaks volumes about
where your heart is. We look forward to the next installment of
live Kevin Eikenberry. Thank you for what you have done for us."
- Del Collins, Senior
Manager of Sales and Operations, Officescapes
"Kevin's training
classes are much more hands on and keeps everyone participating.
Other classes I have attended gave me the feeling the "Instructor"
was simply going through the motions. The instructor mainly used
the "Lecture" approach. I have actually seen people dozing
off. This simply does not and will not happen with Kevin's classes.
You won't regret using
The Kevin Eikenberry Group for you next training. And you will realize
that you wasted your money on the last trainer when you use Kevin."
- Kendall Barrow,
Shift Supervisor, Chevron Phillips Chemical Company
"I would like to
take the opportunity to thank you for the training session on team
work that you delivered to our management team of Ag Alumni Seed
last week. I think the managers learned a great deal from
your presentation and the interactions during the session.
As you know, I am a strong believer in the positive results that
come from real team work, and I think your presentation really helped
our managers to understand the potential that we can realize if
we work better together.
I enjoyed the session
myself and saw positive results from all the participants.
Thanks again for your assistance with our management. I look
forward to working with you in the future."
- Dr. Fayte Brewer,
President Ag Alumni Seed
"The program was
outstanding and inspirational! Thank you for your help in
planning, organizing and motivating our retreat. I believe
our faculty and staff were stimulated to thinking beyond their own
courses and research activities to begin thinking as a team.
Congratulations and thank
you for your excellent coaching and counseling through this process.
We are now looking forward to the next level."
- Dr. Vince Bralts,
Associate Dean, College of Engineering, Purdue University
"When our team made
the decision to change up the traditional format for our annual
Leadership Development Workshop by inviting a professional facilitator,
we were more then a little excited. Our January leadership conference
consisted of unleashing 250 of our high school FFA members onto
a presenter who is most familiar with a slightly more mature audience.
But after our initial meeting with Kevin it was clear that we had
nothing to worry about!
Kevin expressed to us
how much he was looking forward to embarking on this new journey
with us. It would be our first conference of such magnitude, and
his first venture into the youth leadership development realm. Although
we didn't quite know what to expect when the closing gavel tapped,
we were far more then pleasantly surprised.
Kevin brought a professional
and magnetic aura to the room. His respectful tone mixed with his
energy, and quick humor brought the students to a comfortable place
where they could open their minds and prepare themselves for the
rest of the conference. Through fun activities and small-group projects,
Kevin created buy-in for the students and made them hungry to keep
on going. When our team took the stage later in the conference,
it felt like the students weren't ready to tell Kevin good-bye!
Our State Officer team
applauds Kevin's jump into the youth leadership development field.
We're extremely grateful to have had the chance to work with him,
and we wish him the best as he continues to develop not only the
leaders of today, but the leaders of tomorrow as well.
- Indiana FFA Officer
Team
"Thanks for your
participation in the ABE faculty/staff retreat yesterday. I believe
the event was certainly a success. In fact, there were several participants
that indicated this was by far the best and most productive retreat
they had been to. I would concur!
This event provided an
opportunity for significant interaction, allowed us to get to know
our new faculty, reinforced the value of working in teams, and helped
us identify issues that we need to address to help us become an
even better program."
- Dr. Bernie Engel,
Interim Department Head, Agricultural and Biological Engineering
Department Purdue University
"working with Kevin
was a catalyst for developing and facilitating some of the best
learning experiences that I have created. His dynamic presence and
presentation both energized and informed the group. People left
not only more knowledgeable, but more importantly, believing in
themselves. They were clearly going to try out what they had learned."
- Chris Saeger,
Manager of Program Development, American Red Cross
"In today's business world
the one thing most of us have in common is a lack of time. That
means there is little room for mistakes. Hiring an efficient consultant
that relates well to the needs of our work force is critical to
the success of many programs and our businesses. That is why I feel
confident in recommending Kevin Eikenberry and The Kevin Eikenberry
Group.
Kevin came highly recommended
to me as highly professional and efficient. The varying levels of
experience in our work force demanded that we contract with someone
who can relate to a wide variety of personalities and education
levels. We needed someone who could interact with our management
team and relate to the needs of our hourly employees. We were looking
for someone who could motivate and inspire involvement and participation
in our training sessions. With Kevin we received all this and more.
Kevin relates to people
in a very laid-back manner with a high level of energy and intensity.
This allows people to feel comfortable in talking with him while
getting excited about what improvements they can make within themselves
and their organization. His emphasis on self esteem and building
commitment is very beneficial to the short and long term of our
organization. His style of getting to know you and your business
instead of just putting together programs makes his success rate
quite high.
Kevin offers a constant
resource and business partner for your company and employees down
the road, also. He offers to help current and former clients whenever
the need is there. The range of areas Kevin can offer are limited
only by your imagination. Kevin completed a Train-The-Trainer session
for our organization that has raised the bar for performance higher
for all who attended. You will be extremely happy with the results
of any project you do with Kevin and you will count your blessings
for quite some time. You will not regret hiring Kevin in any area."
- David Shinkle,
Training Manager Argosy Casino & Hotel
"The end result while
working with Kevin Eikenberry was our vision, strategy and tactics
for 2005. Kevin worked with our Communication Department for three
days, assisting us in brainstorming activities and eventually capturing
our final results. Along with the business aspect of the meeting,
Kevin helped us grow closer as a team with numerous activities and
break-out sessions.
I was the primary contact
with Kevin Eikenberry. I felt he went beyond the call of duty in
his flexibility with us (we changed dates a few times), his work
relationship (Kevin flew out to meet with us personally and we had
numerous phone conversations) and his knowledge of our business.
The return on investment
is still occurring. Kevin has developed a business relationship
with the head of our department. She is independently calling him
for counsel. I feel confident that we will utilize his services
again in the future.
The key aspect to his
success is his enthusiasm while teaching and also the knowledge
that he strives to obtain about our business. Kevin did a lot of
research and read information on our business, so that when he facilitated
he had an understanding of what we were trying to achieve and the
best way to do that."
- Trina Steinberg,
Communications Specialist, ChevronTexaco
"2003 marked a year of
tremendous change for our team. As the year drew to a close, we
came together to plan for the next. Working with a group as diverse
as ours is not an easy task. Kevin challenged us to identify our
strengths and use them to WOW our clients in the coming year. What
seemed like uncomplicated and straightforward activities led to
meaningful and profound discussions.
Learners were engaged
and repeatedly astonished by the learning that was taking place.
The session was interactive, full of energy and jam-packed with
ahhas. Kevin's ability to connect with team members heightened the
quality of the learning experience and resulted in major breakthroughs
for every member of the team. For our team, learning with Kevin
resulted in a highly connected, more productive and motivated team
that was ready to make it happen! Thanks Kevin."
- Agatha De Santis,
Sears Canada Inc.
"I can't thank you enough
for your participation in our annual directors' conference on December
3. Your presentation was rated as one of the best at the conference,
with practically every respondent giving you a "5 out of 5." Several
commented that your presentation gave them something tangible to
take back to their boardroom to make their board meetings more productive.
You can't get much better than that.
Thanks again."
- Mike Peters, Executive
Vice President Michigan Electric Cooperative Association
"We are currently serving
in the capacity of Safety Facilitator at Chevron Phillips Chemical
Co., Cedar Bayou plant. As Safety Facilitators we are in charge
of working with and either training or providing advanced training
for the 50 Team Leaders that assist in leading our plant towards
a cultural change to improve our safety. As a team leader, it is
mandatory that you attend a class on facilitation skills.
Over the years, many of
our leaders have been exposed to coworkers that have had the opportunity
to take Kevin Eikenberry's Train the Trainer class. Word has rapidly
spread on what a wonderful and fun class it is, even for those who
absolutely hate speaking in front of people.
Our leaders had the choice
between an 8-hour facilitation class where they would learn the
basic skills in facilitating a small team in project and other work
related topics or to have the opportunity to take Kevin's Train
the Trainer class. We decided to pass a list around to see just
how many people wanted to attend if we made the class available.
We had approx. 35 names on the list. Out of this 35, it was mandatory
for about 6 and the rest just wanted to learn more and attend the
training they had heard so much about.
Over the next few months
we scheduled Kevin to hold 3 Train the Trainer sessions for our
leaders. It was necessary to have 3 classes to accommodate all the
interested parties.
My office is located about
75-100' away from the training room, across an atrium and down the
hall. During certain aspects of the training class it was necessary
for me to walk to the training room just to look and see why they
sounded like they were having so much fun. Quite frankly, we were
jealous that we were not able to attend. We did however, have the
opportunity to video a group of 4-5 out of each session on the first
day of training and on the final day of training as they gave a
presentation. The improvement was nothing short of miraculous. People
that have never stood up before improved drastically by the end
of the session. Everyone, no exceptions, benefited from the training
and highly recommended the session for anyone that had the opportunity.
We would like to thank
Kevin for providing our leaders with the opportunity to develop
their presentation skills and have fun doing so. Their education
will help in the development and success of our teams working with
our cultural change and our Behavioral Safety process implementation."
- Belinda Ralston
and Jerry Hale, Safety Facilitators Chevron Phillips Chemical
Company
"I have engaged Kevin
Eikenberry to provide support for leadership development at TriHealth,
a partnership of Good Samaritan and Bethesda Hospitals in Cincinnati
, Ohio since September 2002. In this capacity, he has provided consultation
for program planning, designed and delivered customized leadership
courses; and has developed and delivered e-learning training for
a newly implemented nurse-mentoring program.
I have found Kevin to
be highly effective in services provided to TriHealth. He is professional
in his approach and conscientious about his service and product.
Kevin invested the time to be sure that he fully understood our
needs, which resulted in positive outcomes. Kevin's training and
presentation style was well received by his Tri-Health audience
in middle and executive management teams.
Overall, I highly recommend
Kevin Eikenberry to organizations for support of their leadership
and team development activities. He has been a valuable business
associate in TriHealth's leadership development and nurse retention
initiatives."
- Jennifer Skinner,
RN, MSN, Director Corporate Educational Services - TriHealth
"I have worked with
Kevin Eikenberry for many years, and I have several very good reasons.
Kevin has a high degree of integrity. I can count on him to tell
me the truth about my plans, the ability of my organization to implement
those plans, and the role I need to be playing to reach my objectives.
He even tells me when I don't need his services...it doesn't get
any better than that!
He walks his talk, staying
informed about excellent learning practices and refreshing his own
ideas by reading the latest that the best and brightest have to
offer. Additionally, he has a keen ability to find excellent people
with whom to work. It's a great package, and it works for me."
- Joan Posluszny,
Manager HR Service Center Chevron Corporation
"The 12 Benefits of working
with Kevin Eikenberry (and The Kevin Eikenberry Group) are....
"This year is ending
up on a very positive note...Even though we lost a major client
& a key Director we used this as an opportunity
to put our WOW training into action. We continue to pull together
as reorganization and a change in culture is taking place. We just
had a fantastic Holiday Party with the highest recorded participation
of about 185 employees.
I'm totally convinced
that your Customer Service training gave us the skills, mindset
and cultural shift we needed to properly manage the acquisitions,
lost business and other changes that occurred this year. Could not
have done it without you! I'm grateful for the opportunity I had
to work with you."
- Marcia Roberts,
Director Human Resources Charles Jones, LLC / Superior Information
Services, LLC
"Kevin, thank you helping
us determine "what it will take for us as a team to be super-effective
and deliver results in 2004". The design and facilitation of
the day certainly lived up to your advertisement. My team and I
found the day to be practical and thought provoking. You contributed
knowledge, experience and provided invaluable learning opportunities
for each team member. The process of self-discovery and the ideas
generated that day were immediately applicable and created a foundation
that will help us accomplish our 2004 goals. I value our continuing
consulting relationship."
- Minal Kamath,
Organization Development & Continuous Learning - Sears Canada
Inc.
"Kevin just wanted you
to know what a great job you did with our management retreat. The
content, approach and style were not only effective, but fun. We
left the two days with a renewed sense of purpose and energy as
well as a concrete plan to follow. Thanks."
- William H. Boothe,
CEO LifeStream Services, Inc.
"It's not hard to write
a "testimonial" for Kevin Eikenberry - I could write dozens.
The hard part was keeping it brief and picking one.
The highest compliment
I can pay a trainer is that they live by the three rules of the
Royal Order of the Potato.
#1 Focus on the Learner
#2 Let them do it
#3 Follow through
Kevin Eikenberry is the
finest example I have seen of this. Kevin's impact on the skill
level of our employees has been substantial and enduring, long after
he's gone. The outcome - Learners who learn, and learn willingly
- and results for the organization!"
- Janice Beer, Director
of Human Resources Chevron Canada Ltd.
"If I was to paraphrase
about The Kevin Eikenberry Group and their services it would go
something like this:
"Just a note to thank
you for your participation as our speaker at the InfoConnection
Fall Event!
Everything about working
with you was wonderful - from your flexibility to customize the
talk to our desires to delivering a useful and inspiring message
to all present.
The planning team appreciates
your attitude and willingness to do whatever you could to make our
event a success - which it certainly was!
I look forward to other
opportunities to work with and learn from you."
- Brad D. Schildknecht,
Chairman InfoConnection
"I felt the Training was
well worth the expense. At first I thought it might be far too expensive
but I was very impressed with the material, the presentation format,
the message, and the results. Kevin is, by far, the best example
of a training professional I have ever seen."
- Mark E. David,
Program Manager Allison Engine Company
"Kevin's greatest contributions
to me and our organization/personal strengths (in no particular
order) are:
- Role modeling training
- Communication skills (staying in touch by phone, faxes, e-mail,
general networking)
- Infectious passion and enthusiasm (live each day to the fullest,
appreciate every good thing that happens in a day as a blessing)
- Openness, listening and caring
Seeing these actions shows
us how these behaviors lead to results. Kevin is an inspiration
on many fronts."
- Thomas A. Hecht,
Business Development Chevron International Oil Company
"I have worked with Kevin
Eikenberry both as a co-worker and as a consultant. His ability
to motivate and lead is truly unique. He has the ability to increase
an individual's self-awareness and self-confidence simultaneously.
These traits make the training "bottom-line" increase
no matter what the topic."
- Wm. Cameron Casper
, Director, HR Citigroup
"We have been using Kevin
for about 2 years now and are pleased with his services. Overall
quality is excellent, materials very well presented. We will continue
to use Kevin (using him now) and there are no disappointments.he
will make it right no matter what it takes to meet our needs (and
I can be difficult since I am also a consultant!).
Kevin has also been helpful
to me personally as a coach and mentor from outside my own organization,
which helps me be a better consultant for the executives and leaders
here at TriHealth."
- Kathye Habig,
Director Performance Improvement Consulting - TriHealth
"Kevin Eikenberry's training
delivered exactly what I was looking for and even more. When I called
Kevin I knew what I didn't want, which was typical canned team training.
Kevin and I spent a significant amount of time on the phone while
he helped me work through what I was looking for in training for
Case Management teams in my department.
I have a diverse group
of staff who has worked in a team environment for many years. We
have been through several team building trainings over the years
and usually come away feeling let down. We were looking for new
ways to capitalize on the strengths of our diversity in meeting
the needs of our clients. We also were looking for ways to enhance
our effectiveness as we are continually called upon by outside influences
to do more for less money. Kevin was able to provide this for us
and even more.
As a supervisor I was
very pleased with the training he provided for us. Kevin worked
with us as a group and then worked with individual teams. He was
able to adapt to the individual differences of the teams and still
provide us with the outcomes we are looking for. Kevin managed to
provide a safe environment for the teams to speak freely and work
through the issues they felt were holding them back. The feedback
from the individual team members has been overwhelmingly positive.
Several staff thanked me for the training afterwards and for providing
them with this opportunity.
As a member of the team
unit I felt like it was a very enlightening experience. Many issues
were able to be resolved during the training just by putting them
on the table and discussing them.
I would highly recommend
Kevin Eikenberry to anyone who is seriously committed to the team
process. I hope that I have the opportunity to work with him again."
- Laura Holscher,
Director of Client Services Generations, Area 13 Agency on Aging
"I can say without reservation
that it has been both a pleasure and a privilege to work with The
Kevin Eikenberry Group, and Kevin in particular. He is a hard worker
and a gifted instructor. As an instructor, he has the ability to
consistently "make learning a fun experience". He has
that rare combination of talents where he is truly an expert in
his field while at the same time an honest person and someone who
can be counted on to keep his word.
I recommend him and The
Kevin Eikenberry Group highly to anyone."
- Jay Gallet, Drilling
Engineer Chevron Production Company
"Alberta Envirofuels Inc.
enjoys a very successful history of working with The Kevin Eikenberry
Group. These successes have happened mainly due to the efforts on
diligence and planning put forth by the instructor, Kevin Eikenberry.
With Kevin's obvious enthusiasm
and attention to details, the employees at Alberta Envirofuels have
come away from the sessions eager to put into practice, the skills
received. It is evident at the worksite that the efforts put forth
by session coordinators and deliverers have paid off in the consistency
of excellent presentations and training sessions we see.
The alumni at Alberta
Envirofuels Inc. express their gratitude to The Kevin Eikenberry
Group."
- Organizational
Effectiveness Department Alberta Envirofuels
"As we finalize our business
plans for 2002 and reflect back on 2001 and our accomplishments,
it is hard not to go back to that week we spent together in late
February, 2001 where the process began. I can remember our discussion,
during January, on how we could bring this team together and get
them focused on common objectives to deliver the business results
required for 2001. It seemed, at the time, to be an impossible task.
Kevin, we had a great
year! We have grown into an excellent team who is focused on the
business objectives and is willing to work together to ensure the
success of each individual work group. The barriers have been removed.
Much of our success is due to your leadership and guidance. You
helped us develop clear objectives and define what was required
to accomplish our established goals.
I wanted to personally
thank you for helping us unlock the team's potential and charting
a new path to success. It has helped us build a solid foundation
that will serve us well as we continue to grow and learn as a team
in the future."
- Randall Walker,
Brand Development Manager Chevron Products Company
What Our Participants
Say
"I meant to send you a note last
week to tell you that those two days were by far the best training
time I've spent probably in the last 10 years. I am already putting
the consulting model to work and hope that I can go back and review
my notes and keep practicing what I have learned. Actually, after
our two days of class, I found myself wanting more, wishing there
was another day to come! Believe me, if I ever get another invitation
to one of your sessions, I will jump at the chance!"
- Betsy Slone, Corporate Communications, TriHealth
"Let me first of

Flawless Facilitation class at TriHealth in Cincinnati Ohio. You
already know from my evaluation how impressed I was with the class.
I am writing to tell you that I have found the follow up emails
helpful as well. It is so easy to walk away from a great seminar
and never use the information. You follow up motivated me to apply
me learnings from the class. It provided the extra discipline I
needed in my busy life. Thanks for providing a wonderful educational
opportunity for me Kevin."
- Lisa Humphrey
"Tremendous Effort, Content,
Topic. I thoroughly enjoyed this class; it will help me climb over

can train and vice versa."

It does not get much better than that!"
- John Murray
