Empowerment vs. Delegation

Recently I was working on a chapter for my new book called Remarkable Leadership (which will be published by Jossey-Bass in July 2007 - more on that in a future post).

As I was writing I decided to consult some of the people I respect most with an interesting question . . .

"How would you compare empowerment and delegation? Are they the same or different? In what ways?"


While the draft of the chapter is written, I've contniued to think about the nature of the responses I received and so I decided to ask you, the blog reading world to wiegh in as well.
