Visualization
Take thirty seconds right now and picture yourself taking command over that problem.
See yourself solving it, overcoming it, moving beyond it into a realm of confidence where
problems will be mastered as they arise.
- Take three long, deep breaths and exhale slowly after each one.
- As you take the first one, say to yourself, "I'm breathing in confidence; I'm
breathing out fear."
- With the second: "I'm breathing in power; I'm breathing out weakness."
- With the third: "I'm breathing in victory over my problem (name it); I'm breathing
out defeat."
Then as you turn the page, visualize new confidence and determination flowing into
you. You can take command of your life. This book about imaging is designed to help you do
it--and it will! (N. V. Peale)
As long as you can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it-- as
long as you really believe it 100 percent. (Arnold Schwarzenegger)
To visualize is to see what is not there, what is not real--you know, a dream. To
visualize is, in fact, to make visual lies.
Visual lies, however, have a way of becoming visual truths. (Peter McWilliams,
Do It!)
