Keys to Developing Executives – What They Need and How to Influence Them to Do It
Leadership development is important at all levels, but perhaps the greatest leverage comes in developing executive leaders. In our work with Clients around the world we are asked to help executives develop their skills and develop the other executives in their organizations. And while most executives agree that leadership development is important for the success of their organizations, often their approach is to invest in other leaders, and think about succession planning, but ignore their own needs.
Chances are, if there are leadership development needs for others, they have needs too – even if they are different. And if you want to influence them and coax them to focus on their own leadership development, you must understand their perspective, their needs, and their priorities first. Just like you have a perspective they may not have, recognize, they likely have information and a perspective you don’t have either.
In this webinar we are going to help those responsible for leadership development think about how they can better influence and help executives grow their skills.
During this session you will learn:
- How to determine executive leadership development needs
- Why what is often provided may be the wrong things, or be incomplete
- The reasons executives ignore or delay their own development
- How to be a successful influencer of executive development
